Sunlight touches us

The world passes by

Blurred, indistinct

Unimportant

A phantom in the passenger window

We miss it

We’re preoccupied with

Rolling forward

Racing through life

Not looking back

We’re too young to worry

Too old to care

Destination unknown

Unprepared

‘It’ll be a surprise

when we get there,’

Life is too big

Too wide

For the short sighted

To see the edges
